On October 30th, SAEDI Consulting in partnership with 2X Global was pleased to host the pre-COP30 webinar, "Keeping Score: Standardized frameworks for measuring gender performance and impact in climate action" that highlighted the issue of standardising gender metrics in climate finance projects.
Our Managing Director, Leisa Perch, delivered a presentation to set the stage for the importance of standardised frameworks for gender and climate to measure performance and impact in climate action. We were honoured to have with us speakers, Rosalie Marsden from Acumen, Janet Zhou from Southern Africa Trust, and Keisha Garcia from ANSA Merchant Bank.
Together, they discussed:
- Examples of gender responsive finance in action
- The challenges and opportunities that come with developing common standards and metrics to measure gender performance and impact in climate action
- What is required to effectively transform the idea of a Gender Responsive Finance Performance Index from concept to reality
