SAEDI turns 4 on Saturday!
Ahead of our 4 year anniversary, we reflect on an exciting journey over the past year of working with our diverse network of clients and partners to drive socioenvironmental change across more than 36 countries and three continents.
In March this year, we co-hosted a hybrid event at NGO CSW69 with the Society of Gender Professionals titled "Countering Anti-Gender Movements: Intersectional Solutions for Gender Equity", which drew over 150 active global participants. Panellists from diverse regions and fields tackled the growing political and social influence of anti-gender movements. Key messages emphasized the need for youth engagement, Global South leadership, evidence-based advocacy, and genuine partnerships with marginalised communities to advance gender equity under the Beijing+30 and 2030 agendas.
Below, our Managing Director, Leisa Perch, reflects on the importance of events like ours and the role gender professionals play in countering anti-gender movements.
Stay tuned this week for more statements from our team!
