"Events like COP30 go beyond the environment; they inspire conversations, collaboration and change" - Shakirah Ali

Today, we're highlighting Shakirah Ali and her role in supporting our post-COP30 webinar co‑hosted with the Climate Lead Group (CLG) on January 14, 2026.

“From COP30 to Action: Regional Climate Priorities for Latin America and the Caribbean” unpacked COP30 outcomes and their implications for regional climate action. Panellists included Marcela Jaramillo (2050 Pathways Platform), Jairo Quiros-Tortos (CLG), and SAEDI Consulting's own Leisa Perch (SAEDI), with the session moderated by Daniela Villalta Arias of CLG.

Having worked with our team for well over 1 year, Shakirah has become a key player on both our Communications and Research teams. Her strong stakeholder skills and experience in communications were key to planning and executing this regional exchange, which bridged the gap between decisions and actions, while enabling a smooth discussion between our moderator, 3 panellists, and 39 participants on 5 key priority issues.
