Corporate growth requires strong systems, values, and guiding principles to enable both the processes and teams that make this work possible.

In 3+ years on the SAEDI Consulting team, Blessing Baderinwa has led our operations and human resources, refining our organizational processes to ensure that our team members are both efficient and protected.

Her efforts and experiences have culminated in more transparent, inclusive, and supportive systems. As we strive to continuously improve, we intentionally integrate lessons learnt from vulnerable communities and our work with them, into our practices and principles, as we design new or update systems and policies, such as our Maternity/Paternity Leave Policy.

Blessing says it best: "Coming from a context where maternity leave is often treated as an inconvenience rather than a right, and where such policies rarely extend beyond the mother to include the father, I find it meaningful that SAEDI built a policy that considers both parents."

To date, SAEDI Consulting has 11 published corporate policies and strategies that aim to protect clients, partners, team members, and stakeholders. As these practices and experiences evolve, we aim to keep adding more guidelines and updating existing ones with the realities and livelihoods we encounter in our projects. Ensuring that our own practices align with the data and findings from our research on Gender, Equity, Vulnerability and Justice is part of our model.
