In August 2022, we conducted a gender mainstreaming capacity building workshop for the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) of Trinidad and Tobago, in addition to training on the gender policy and action plan which we developed for them.
The objectives were to:
To deepen the understanding of four key areas that are critical for gender mainstreaming
To explore the importance of gender sensitivity and gender responsiveness
To guide on how to execute some of the strategies entailed in the Gender Policy and Action Plan, and
To lay a foundation for EMA staff to continue to build their gender knowledge and how to utilise it in various context
