The Deadline Has Been Extended To Friday, June 10, 2022 at MIDNIGHT AST (4:00AM GMT)

About The Competition

Visual arts has the power to impact us in ways beyond words. We are therefore thrilled to announce the SAEDI Consulting (Barbados) Inc Photo & Graphic Design Competition to provide a platform for persons to showcase compelling images of gender and the environment through photography and graphic design. Through powerful images we will showcase the triumphs, struggles, and hopes for gender and environmental justice.

There is a lack of photographic representation and graphic art depiction of Caribbean-specific content displaying the unique dynamic of these issues within the region. This competition will provide an opportunity to elevate marginalised and unheard voices through art and creativity. We highly encourage different forms of expression beyond spoken or written words. We aim to highlight the experiences and challenges of gender and environment through different mediums, and portray messages of hope through these pieces of art. We strive to strengthen our engagement with different audiences whilst also encouraging people to speak up.

Who Can Enter

The competition is open to all photographers, graphic designers/artists and hobbyists 18 years and older.

Equal opportunity is a core value of SAEDI Consulting Barbados Inc, and therefore we encourage citizens of all countries regardless of gender, race, nationality, age, sexuality, etc., to enter this competition. We strongly encourage submissions from all levels including hobbyists, amateurs, students and professionals. We especially encourage women and members of other marginalised groups (persons with disabilities, indigenous people, refugees, LGBTQIA, citizens of countries in the Global South) to participate in this opportunity to showcase your work and elevate your voice.
